Message from the President
To everyone who contributed in any way to our recent production, THANK YOU. Savoy is very grateful to you all and proud of your achievement. In many respects this was a highly successful show. There'll be a full report at the Annual General Meeting on June 10th (7:30 at Kitchissippi) to which you are all invited. Although only paid up members can vote, your participation and ideas are most welcome. There'll be a couple of reports, an election and awards as well as information about next year's show.
You are shortly going to hear more of our annual banquet the date of which has CHANGED to May 25th (the Saturday AFTER the long weekend) It will be at the Ottawa Masonic Centre as it was last year and the tickets will be $35, Colleen Morris, our Social Convenor will be putting out notices really soon. This will be an evening of celebration, wining and dining, dancing and music as well as the annual "SAVVY" awards, the Savoy equivalent of the Oscar! but more fun and no red carpet.
Next year's show is to be "Ruddigore", a show with ghosts and spirits. The OPEN HOUSE where we present the plans and welcome all will be on September 9th and AUDITIONS are going to be on the weekend of September 14/15th. Mark this in your diaries and consider STRONGLY booking an audition. It's a show we will have great fun with.
